New Latitude is based on the same technical platform as Laguna and the South Korean Samsung SM5, and Renault Safrane that exist only in a few markets. Latitude will be sold in 50 markets worldwide and also manufactured in Russia, where it is launched at dealers this fall. Russia is a strategically important market for the alliance partners Renault and Nissan, which along with Avtovaz, aiming to achieve 40 percent of the Russian market in 2015.
