BMW has finally admitted using a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of producing a superb 350-hp powerdrive for its 2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe. The direct-injected engine seems to be a tuned version of the company’s N54 twin-turbocharged engine. A six-speed manual gearbox and a dual-clutch automated manual gearbox form the transmission base for the vehicle’s powertrain.

Along with a stylish leather interior and 19-inch wheels, other enhancements of the car include new sport buckets, a completely renovated wide body kit, and an M steering wheel with paddles. No indication, however, has yet been received for the car having a carbon fiber roof similar to M3 coupe. Even though BMW has indicated unveiling the car in early 2011, you have to wait until September next year when the 2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe is expected to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
