MAN Concept S 1MAN, the renowned truck manufacturer, has announced that it will premiere the MAN Concept S - s design exercise - at the 2010 IAA show in Hanover. The main scope of the MAN Concept S design is finding way of improving trucks' aerodynamics. The manufacturers hope the MAN Concept S streamlined semitrailer tractor will demonstrate ways of reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions through clever design. The MAN Concept S has been styled so it will minimize wind resistance. The company says that with a proper trailer, the MAN Concept S can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 25% in comparison to a 40-tonne semitrailer tractor. The MAN Concept S has also been designed in order for the company to play its part in the current discussion on the statutory length restrictions applying to commercial vehicles in Europe.
