It’s no secret that Hyundai is bringing their long waited Veloster coupe to the Detroit Auto Show, but just days before the event, the South Korean company has sideswiped us with two teaser images for their Curb crossover concept. This concept is a preview version for a future model that they say will compete with models like the Nissan Juke. They expect the production model to debut in the next two to three years.
The teaser images provided didn’t come with any official details, but from them we can deduce that they concept follows along the automaker’s ’fluidic sculpture’ design language. The interior, on the other hand, was a little unexpected as it kind of reminds us of a spaceship. The powertrain isn’t expected to be anything new, as rumors suggest the concept will use the same hybrid drivetrain as in the recently launched Sonata Hybrid.
The Hyundai Curb crossover concept looks just about as cool as we would expect a Hyundai concept to look, but we don’t think much of the concept will actually make it to the production line.
Stay tuned for our coverage of the Detroit Auto Show as Hyundai will be unveiling the full official details for their new Curb Concept.
