Mercedes unveiled these days their new helicopter, named EC145, which was constructed by Eurocopter. The world premiere of Merc's helicopter requires location nowadays at the European Company Aviation Convention & Exhibition 2011 (EBACE) in Geneva. The Mercedes EC145 helicopter was developed for luxury-class business enterprise and private travel. Its interior was developed while in the Mercedes Advanced Design Studio inside the Italian city of Como, and was styled following the same design language the car maker uses for its vehicles.
The flying Mercedes features high quality materials, ambient lighting similar to the one on the S Class and E Class, and multi-function boxes with various equipment options. The seats of the helicopter can be rearranged in several configurations, to accommodate four to eight passengers. They can also be removed to create a large cargo space. Mercedes did not announce the price of their Eurocopter helicopter, nor the date when it will go on sale.
