2013 BMW 3-Series Sports Wagon

2012-05-13

BMW has just announced that the next-generation 2013 3-Series Sports Wagon will be heading to the U.S. The new BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon will launch in Europe later this year as the 328i, 330d, and 320d Touring. The Sports Wagon is set to arrive on U.S. shores in Spring 2013. Powertrain details for the U.S. market have not yet been announced, but the current 3 Series wagon is only offered as the 328i here in the U.S. We could see the new Sports Wagon with the 2.0-liter four making 240 hp, a 300-hp 335i with the 3.0-liter turbo six, and a 330d with a 3.0-liter straight-six turbo-diesel making 258 hp.

The 3-series Sports Wagon will be offered with a vast number of comfort, assistance, and telematics options, just like the sedan. When it comes to the U.S., the 3-series wagon should cost about $2000 more than a similarly equipped sedan. We applaud BMW's decision to bring the station wagon here, where it will compete head-on with Audi’s A4 Allroad and Cadillac’s CTS Sport Wagon.
