As Paris pulls the curtain off the most awaited event of the year – the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Range Rover is right out there trying to gleam and grab its share of audience and accolades, with the official debut of its all new Evoque. Slated to be the smallest, lightest and most fuel efficient Range Rover ever produced, the Evoque, according to the company, features a “luxurious coupe design plus a compact and more efficient footprint than other Range Rover models.”

Set to be in a lot of peoples’ driveways no sooner than the next fall, Range Rover Evoque gets a permanent all-wheel drive combined with the state-of-the-art new 240 bhp 2.0-liter Si4 turbocharged engine that combines direct fuel injection and twin variable valve timing for exceptional drivability and fuel efficiency. Key options for the Evoque include Adaptive Dynamics and Magneride adaptive damping and a massive panoramic roof.

Flaunting Range Rover’s design language, the Evoque features a more assertive and confident stance with its 19-inch wheels and sparkling metallic details, premium leather, twin-needle stitching and real wood and metal finishes, unique bumpers, sills, grille and lots more. Fueling the rising heat of the Paris Motor Show is another exciting announcement from the automaker that confirms a more practical, five-door version of the Range Rover Evoque.

Releasing only the first official image of the SUV, Range Rover is currently mum about any further details keeping the speculation wheels rolling for some time. Churned out are a few conjectures that hint the same powertrain as that of the 3-door version (including a 2.2-liter turbo diesel with 150HP and 190HP derivatives, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline producing 240HP). More details may soon be spilled as the SUV prepares for the official debut later this year at the Los Angeles Motor Show. via worldcarfans
